RE:
HOLA A TODOS, ESTOY TRABAJANDO EN PRIMARIA Y VIENEN MUCHAS MUJERES PREGUNTANDO QUE SE PUEDEN TOMAR PARA LA ANSIEDAD Y PARA DORMIR BIEN.
HE OIDO LAS DOS VERSIONES SOBRE LA VALERIANA, POR UN LADO MUCHOS GINECOLOGOS Y MATRONAS LA ACONSEJAN, Y EN LAS TABLAS DE CLASIFICACION DE MEDICAMENTOS Y EMBARAZO APARECE COMO QUE LA PUEDEN TOMAR, Y POR OTRO LADO HE OIDO POR PARTE DE OTRAS MATRONAS QUE ES PERJUDICIAL.
ME GUSTARIA QUE ALGUIEN ME DIERA SU OPINION E INFORMACION CON EVIDENCIA PARA PODER RECOMENDARLA O NO

RE:

Both valerian (Valeriana officinalis) and St
John’s Wort (Hyperi***** perforatum) were used
in our study (Table 2). There is little information
about their use in pregnancy, apart from case
reports (Grush et al. 199. The ESCOP Committee
suggests St John’s Wort should not be
used without more study (Scientific Committee
Herbal medicine in pregnancy of ESCOP 1996). Despite lack of evidence of
benefit or safety, the recent French study showed
that over 10%of pregnant women were taking
valerian (Lacroix et al. 2000).

Abstract

The objective of the study was to assess the frequency of alternative medical usage in an antenatal population. A survey of alternative medicine usage was carried out among 305 consecutive patients over 2 months at their registration in mid-pregnancy at an Australian Antenatal Clinic. The study showed that something like 40% of patients used alternative medical therapy, including 12% herbal therapy. No specific study of pregnancy outcome was carried out, but it is of concern that some herbs taken had the potential to adversely affect pregnancy outcome. The herbal therapies commonly used in pregnancy are reviewed with their potential complications; examples of toxicity are also discussed. It is important to obtain a herbal medicine history at any time but particularly in pregnancy. Herbs may have unrecognised effects on pregnancy or labour, have interactions with prescribed medications and have potentially serious complications for the foetus.

LO QUE HE VISTO EN LA PAGINA DE DENIA ES SOBRE LACTACIA,PERO SOBRE EMBARAZO NO HE VISTO NADA.
NO HE LEIDO EN NINGUN SITIO, PERO CREO RECORDAR QUE LO DE QUE NO SE DEBIA TOMAR EN EL EMBARAZO PORQUE PRODUCIA MALFORMACIONES, NOS LO COMENTO UNA MATRONA QUE NOS DABA CLASES EN LA RESIDENCIA

RE:
